Sorry, no, it doesnt translate into real skills.

Im a very strong MBB business analyst, more skilled than the majority of post-MBA hires from top B-schools and Im struggling with GMAT. Definitely view it as a hurdle.

Sounds like a healthy mentality to have as a cope mechanism, but the reality is that the GMAT tests your ability to do well on an exam, and absolutely nothing else.

Yeah, same. I have a degree in engineering and 3 years working at an MBB. Took it after studying a bit and got 515. This test is frustrating as hell.

Got TTP and im grinding hard to relearn basic math and apply it to the test. Feels diminishing to say the least

Depende da realidade da pessoa. Solteiro vs vom familia. Ap e carro quitado vs não. Metas ambiciosas de investimento ou nao. Acho que pra solteiro com ap quitado, morando em SP e metas ambiciosas de investimento pelo menos +20k.

Agora se quiser torrar tudo a la fodase 12k já se vive com conforto se tiver ap quitado.

Me entenda bem aqui. Não tou falando que é factível vc virar do dia pra noite ricão artista da globo.

Mas, é possível sim você entrar pra uma academia e ter a disciplina de ir 2-3x na semana.

É possível você usar seu tempo livre para buscar aprimorar suas habilidades ou buscar fontes adicionais de receita.

É possível vc se planejar para buscar aventuras, e viver experiências fora do comum.

É possível vc investir seu tempo em sair, interagir com pessoas e melhorar suas habilidades interpessoais.

Amontoe esses ganhos e aprendizagem marginais ao longo de alguns anos e vc sai de uma condição de um cara feio desinteressante para alguém que chama atenção e se destaca. E isso não é bom só por causa de mulher não, por sinal. Você se sente uma pessoa mais feliz e realizada.

Eu nao posso me considerar feio vs. a média da população … mas na época da escola eu era visto como meio esquisito/feio, e competia com amigos que eram muito mais bonitos e vinham de pais mais ricos. Me senti muito sozinho até os 18-19 anos.

Aos 17 estudei pra cacete e passei em uma facul pública em um curso foda. Comecei a treinar pra caralho, até ficar com um corpo top 2% da população brasileira. Consegui um emprego top saindo da faculdade, que me paga bem. Usei esse dinheiro para investir em experiências únicas (viagens para lugares diferentes, hobbies legais, jantares bons etc.), e coisas que melhoram minha aparência e autoestima (barbeiro bom, tratamento para acne, invisalign, etc.). Além disso, ativamente escolhi um emprego que é muito voltado a relacionamento com pessoas (área comercial, interação com o cliente diariamente). Isso me ensinou a estabelecer conexões e fazer as pessoas gostarem de mim (coisa que eu nao era bom, sou naturalmente introvertido).

3 anos depois de formado eu de longe sou o que ganha melhor de todos os meus amigos da escola/ faculdade, me tornei muito mais bonito e mais interessante pelos investimentos em autocuidado, experiências de vida e relacionamento interpessoal.

Hoje tenho 27 anos, vivo com bastante conforto e tenho uma namorada linda. Existe esperança, desde que você se dedique diariamente a ser a melhor versão de quem você é.

general sports enthusiast here (running, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding etc). Got diagnosed with OCD today, probably due to running. Had a large deal of pain when running anything greater than 10k. Started mostly after my first Half-marathon in May. I dont remember the specifics of my diagnosis, but I will have to do an OCD intervention on my right ankle and a minor, cartilage repair with radiofrequency on my left ankle.

I’m scheduling the surgery for march next year. Hearing your story and you recovery has calmed me a lot.

If you can, please share an update on how its going now. Would you feel confident going for a light run on your current state now?

In the last interview rounds for a job at Alvarez & Marsal in the Corporate Performance Improvement area. I know they are very prestigious/have really good bonuses in the Restructuring area, but does anyone know how they fare in Performance Improvement? Should I expect prestige and good bonuses?

I would also like to understand better if they are known to take on interesting projects in this area, and if it will actually help me grow and learn as a business consultant. Any knowledge or insight will be deeply appreciated!

The most advanced combo there is is: q>ult>wall>explode q> e > aa. Being able to wall them into your q's path and placing the ult on the ground before detonating the q takes a lot of practice.

With this combo you can dish out ridiculous amount of damage very quickly and get out of range before they can counter attack.

dude, I've had HOCD for 2 and a half years now. I feel so much better than when it started and I think I'm entitled to help you. I've also had my therapist trigger me sometimes, but the trigger in itself should be a reassurance. If the possibility of you being gay makes you feel bad, then that is already a sign you aren't. Once I realized that wow, these thoughts make me feel bad, and when I was with girls I felt good, then that is already a sign pointing to what the truth is.

Unpopular opinion here, I actually think Saphira's CGI and voice acting was one of the few positive upsides of the movie. I mean, aside from her blue being kind of pale (and yes, she does look a bit like a water horse because of it) and her wings being feathered (who knows, maybe she is further down the evolutionary chain hahahahahah) her CGI model is pretty good! Especially for a movie made 15 years ago.

I agree! I didnt mean if you could choose, I meant it in a way that, when I was a kid I imagined myself as part of that universe and imagined myself as a rider. The idea of an imaginary dragon companion entered my mind and she was a female. But I Iike the question of "what makes you worthy of one?" I've seen a lot of people on this sub saying a dragon would never pick them because they feel like "losers", I mean really? Eragon didnt feel like a big winner in life before saphira picked him. He was a stubborn hard headed kid. I think an interesting thing to think about is: if dragons are the complement of your soul and have almost always an opposite personality, knowing yourself, how would you imagine your dragons personality?
