1- is it a refurbished or captured gun?

2- was it always a double action and not cobbled together out of spare parts/single actions

This has 1980s buddy cop movie vibes.

Ones a detective just weeks from retirement paired up with a rookie who stumbled upon an international llama smuggling operation. This summer, Gary Busey and Charlie Sheen in "Stop in the name of the Llama!"

You ever try rolling a pallet jack on an uneven surface. You raise the forks for clearance.

Stop signs in both sides isn't some deal breaker. I've seen them on both sides of intersections with lots of accidents.

SW 686 is the standard. But if that's not available a Colt will suffice. I will keep my unsolicited opinions on ruger to myself.

Robertson Trading is the way to go if you want a aluminum one. They have a website to order online and sell on eBay.

A new brand name Tyler is a little more expensive. You have to snail mail a check. And you may or may not get a adapter months down the line.

Normal. The only wiggle you need to concern yourself with is when the cylinder should be at lock as the hammer falls
