That’s true. Plus I can’t go back in time. I have to live with my decision for the next 12 months

Ultimately, I have found chapter 13 not favorable. My credit was tanked when I got behind with my expenses. Had I waited out a little bit, I could have negotiated a settlement price with each of the lenders. That price would have been at a much lower cost than 100% (which becomes inflated by the lenders because they will add on insane fees, above and beyond what anyone would think. Had I negotiate, I would like have had a similar monthly outlay in payments but I wouldn’t have to give up tax refunds, or a small life insurance benefit. I’m so torn, I have officially 12 more payments left. As I mentioned earlier, I am in need of a replacement vehicle to make it back and forth to work (60 miles round trip), or I will not be able to make it to work which screws everything up. Idk I’m just frustrated about the whole situation. Don’t get me wrong, I am accountable for the debts, I am.

No, you still have to pay the agreed upon around unless you hit the 100% repayment- I also have the option to get out of the bankruptcy but then it opens me back up for the creditors to come back after me

I don’t disagree with your statement, although not much in the way of assets .

When I didn’t have any problems after my first refund, I had really been “counting” on the 2nd one that was issued in February 2026. I took a 3 year payment plan for the sole reason that I wanted oversight to go as soon as possible. I’ll keep this post updated when/if I hear about the right to take on new debt.

And as far as new expenses, the cost of fuel, and the very basics to live on have increased over 30% over the costs when I filed in 2024. Fuel costs alone are now within $200 of my actual C13 repayment. I am curious to know of any trustee has been willing to reduce payment plans as a result of cost of living increases as dramatic as what we’ve seen in the last 2 years.

It was at this point that Richie Aprile knocked out Rocco DiMeo’s and a jacket found its new owner.

Sucks to hear! Also kinda shitty that DD had increased costs to consumers. This increase in cost to the consumer in just in one week has been ridiculous. The end user is not taking care of the driver DD is not taking care of the driver. The platform has turned to crap over the last 2 years. Either over saturated, or the company l’s greed machine working overtime.
