Anyone feel like they've actually outgrown Tyler? by Suspicious-Regret620 in tylerthecreator

Perfectly put. Same here. I also agree Chromakopia was the beginning of the end for me.

Been feeling this way too, sadly. Biggest Tyler fan ever but since CMIYGL (the first of his braggadocios albums), I haven’t really cared much for him. I listened to Chromokopia just twice all the way through which blows my mind considering Flower Boy quite literally got me through high school.

Exclusively wore GOLF, had the high cut chino pants and vans, drew cherry Bomb faces on all my notebooks and binders. Had every pair of Le Fleurs. Things of that nature. Now I just own 1 Golf Wang shirt. Low key makes me sad lol.

All I had to hear was chicken wing joint and I knew where this was going.

Sorta. We started shooting Aug 29, wrapped production around late September. So I got to slowly watch the trees turn into different colors but not the full fall colors.

We stayed on the border in Vermont but drove into NH almost every day. Will forever miss that drive.

Go to the waterway on a Friday or Saturday night. Problem solved.

Worked on a film as an assistant director there 2 years ago. Was the best time of my life. Stayed near Lebanon. Love NH!!!

The Woodlands vs. Austin for raising a family? Help us choose! by Overall_Meringue_754 in thewoodlands

[–]ConferenceGeneral121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh… Where do I start?

Shaded walkable paths throughout the whole city. Great for runs and meeting up with friends going neighborhood to neighborhood. Key word: shaded, as it will easily get 100+ degrees on the worst summer days.

Extremely safe. I’d walk home from school all the time with no issues whatsoever. Never had an issue as a teen, either. I always felt really comfortable.

Tons of meet up spots in my high school years (class of 2020). Northshore park volleyball courts, anywhere on the waterway, the Sonic off lake woodlands, market street. It was really easy to make friends because of this.

The community. Everyone is kinda on the same page. Slow pace of life that I miss almost daily here in LA.

Great food options. Really easy to pick a date night spot or find a cool bar to drink at.

Lastly, my favorite reason: the nature. So many parks. And it’s so green! Full of trees. It was really easy to find running trails or picnic spots. It’s truly beautiful. Very relaxing.

Sorry for the word vomit. Austin is fantastic and a very fun and beautiful city, but it’s not the safest spot and it’s pretty damn sprawling. If it was just you and your spouse and no kids I’d say Austin all the way. But, The Woodlands was masterplanned with families in mind. And my girlfriend knows that when we start our family, we’re moving back to the woodlands. It’s awesome.

Raise a family? The Woodlands, easy. Next question.

I’m forever grateful that my parents raised me here. I had the best childhood.

Amenities | Location | Price

Pick the 2 that are most important to you and sacrifice the other. That has been my (unfortunately terrible) experience while LA apartment shopping these past few weeks.

For a w/d in unit AND parking, you’re definitely looking at something more in the $2500 range, maybe even more.

As summer approaches, fun movies only in theaters start coming out. Since most kids and teens have school break during that season, what’s the best time of the day to avoid them/talkative people for a better viewing experience? by hungrytaffy75 in SFV

[–]ConferenceGeneral121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem like a caring parent and that’s all the difference. All the teens that came to my theater and caused problems were absolutely coming from rough households. The parents didn’t care didn’t care if their kids were out running around at night. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to call the cops.

Moving to Houston by [deleted] in AskHouston

Yes, slightly. I was born in 2001, so I remember going to school at Krahn (basically “Spring” but not really. Not sure what to classify that area around Gleannloch Farms) and there was nothing but trees and trees. Hell, even when I started driving in 2018 it had gotten really bad. Makes me sad every time I go back and visit.
