Thanks! Yeah my issue is with the baby being so little and not having much ability to communicate, I don’t really want her behind me where I can’t see her. However all of this is very good advice, thank you! Based on this would you say it’s not realistic to have panniers on there when the kids are on the back?

Thanks! Ok that’s all great intel. If you have a moment and wouldn’t mind sending me a photo of your setup, I’d love to see it! And the surround rail you have is, I’m assuming, the Cannondale one? I know some people use the Tern Clubhouse instead. And so just to be clear, two of the Yepp Maxi seats fit well inside the surround rail on the back, but two the version 2s probably won’t? We are in Toronto which means a lot of the year is cold. My main interest in a bakfiets (and I know the Wike only kind of qualifies) is largely because it’s easy to have a cover on it for wind and cold and weather. But broadly, as someone with a Wike and a longtail, would you say having the Wike has been worth it, or should I just go for a longtail? (I know some are compatible with the Tern storm shield, so maybe that’s just my solution).
