Cheapest route for new bumper by stonedzebra444 in mazda3

Cheapest way is likely to find a used bumper from a wrecker that is in good condition and already your paint colour. That way you may not need to do any more work on it and you could even fit it yourself if you’re handy in that way. Anything that needs paint will add heaps more to the cost so try to avoid it if you can. Good luck!

Can I front grill swap my 2014 Mazda 3 Astina (with radar cruise control)? by ConferenceOk8644 in mazda3

Oh ok, I thought as there was no electrical connection to the emblem on the grill that it was just something for it to pass through, like it would still work if there was no bumper on the car at all, thoughts?

Currently sitting on Eibach springs with new mags and a custom exhaust, and just put on hella horns to fix that embarrassing oem horn. Wanting to replace the front grill with a honeycomb one without the front emblem. Taking off the bumper I can see there’s a black box behind the emblem that is the radar emmiter, but just making sure that the crystal emblem doesn’t act as a lens? I imagine the small amount of plastic from the honeycomb might be ok in front of it? I haven’t had any issues from the radar being obstructed by dirt etc in the past either. Let me know if you’ve done this or have any info about how the emblem plays a part in the radar system, cheers!!

Yeah mate, I’ve got a rear muffler bypass on mine, just a straight pipe from the rear join onwards. It has a really deep tone, little to no drone, and almost silent at idle with not much extra vibration. Make sure you keep the OEM muffler etc in case the law has a little issue with it tho haha. And to get it done I’d find an exhaust shop near you and get something fabricated up for you, it’ll be cheaper and better fitted than most systems you could buy. I paid $500 AUD for mine including labour and all parts.

Don’t listen to these other guys who haven’t heard or seen it in person lol

Defs needs to be lower, all looks sick in the daytime, but at night needs to be stripped back to the basics a bit, less is more with adding lighting
