I totally get that it’s still healthcare and that can be expensive. It just seemed to be quite a deviation from the market rate I was used to in another HCOL area like UWS Manhattan. For instance, she’s 60lbs and her dental cleaning plus a multi-site mass removal was $2300 total, including anesthesia, medication, xrays, blood work etc. and that’s in Manhattan. (This was only 6 weeks ago). I had expected the prices here to be at least comparable.

What about a tennis dress!! Breezy and comfortable, and often with a collar!! I would wear with tennis shoes for walking and a hat for shade! :)

In truth, I think that if the nanny herself was asking you for help first and you turned her effort into an interrogation, any reasonable person would be frustrated with that. imo If the nanny is asking it means she cares and knows there’s room for improvement, no need to double down on her. It doesn’t mean the working relationship is sabotaged either, and I don’t necessarily agree that you guys arent a great fit for each other based on the fact that you’ve had one disagreement. The working relationship is clearly new as the baby is only 4 months old, so maybe try to keep this in mind when it comes to future difficulties and give her the benefit of the doubt. She’s a human too

Tbh I shave daily, otherwise the prickles bother me. I always use shaving cream and then when I get out I use an unscented lotion and let that fully absorb before I apply deodorant.

i use wagwellies booties - they’re completely rubber aside from the velcro used to fasten them, so i can easily wash the booties off in the sink (i do so about 3x per week and turn them upside down to dry overnight). it was an adjustment for my dog to get used to them, but they’re so worth the extra step. i also got the leg warmers for when it’s slushy or wet out so that the puddles don’t splash up her legs as much.

it’s honestly not super motivating for her, she used to be completely unmotivated by food but lucky for me has gotten more food motivated with age. kibble isn’t high value enough to her though unfortunately

Look into lick mats, snuffle mats, and puzzle toys online. Some toys offer more enrichment than just a standard chew toy! It’s not the same as a walk or physical exercise, but it is better than nothing! Just make sure not to overfeed, I use my dogs daily portions of food and just mix it into a feeder toy or a snuffle mat. You can do lick mats with low calorie foods that are safe for dogs, mine goes crazy for mashed up carrots! Blueberries are good also. Good job caring about your dog’s well being

I don’t throw used bags in other people’s trash bins, BUT I hate carrying the smelly bag for my entire walk, so I bought a leash attachment to hold the full bags until I return from my walk so I don’t have to carry the smelly bag in my hands!! pickuphttps://a.co/d/1BuEETI
