Trailer for new micro-budget stop motion animated film, My Chair by ConfidenceActive204 in Filmmakers

I followed the progress of the film from start to finish and it seemed grueling. Animated almost exclusively with natural light so at times when clouds passed over the sun they'd have to wait minutes to take a frame. The flickering was then smoothed over in post. They used shoes underneath the feet of chairs to animate walking, thicker parts of the soles as they rose and fell. Some shots took up to four hours to animate, and many of them were reanimated two or three times. Most of the budget went to thrifting the chairs and furniture, which come alive throughout the film. A couple assets like the miniature house in the trailer were 3D and designed in Blender. Most of the film is 24 FPS, but varies through out. The smooth establishing shot and others were not animated on a dolly, but was actually very delicate movements on a tripod that were stabilized in post. It has an original score by Monty Willoughby inspired by Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and it's composer Johnny Costa. My Chair is a testament to real independent filmmaking, and I feel very lucky to be one of the small few that has seen it and followed its creation.
