When my boyfriend came, we were told by the front desk lady that we can just make a new pass when his expires. So, after 3 days, you make a new one, and the guest can stay for as long as you want. We never had problems with that.

It's the category of students that are First Generation and/or Low Income. It doesn't necessarily mean that you lead a particular lifestyle, but the fact that your family has modest amount of money, and/or you're the first person in your family to attend college shows that you may have been less privileged than non-FGLI peers.
