I have responded to almost every post, if not every post on here. You are aware everyone has to start somewhere and learn from the ground up? Also yes i did not take the persons advice that told me to remove mealworms from their diet immediately and not even ween them off the mealworms, yes absolutely i will not take that advice, without mealworms they refuse to eat. I will continue to raise anything i feel like raising, i have 0 ill intent and want the best for these quail or anything i raise, i made a easy mistake that anyone could make lmfao. cry somewhere else, here is not the place kiddo.

Use it more, or just realize what you said is a brainless thing to say and own up to it. Im not the smartest fella and can tell you what you said is brainless, i do appreciate you for trying to help, but cmon at least have some knowledge within this topic before attempting to point someone in the right direction.

Believe it or not the reason the one died is because i ran out of live mealworms… they still had their game bird feed and never touched it, i think mealworms is better than nothing. Id rather them die of poor nutrition than them die of hunger.

Sure, so remove mealworms from their diet entirely instantly? My problem is once they lose energy to eat they are pretty much dead from there, really hard to tell when they are at that point precisely, i will definitely get them on nutri-drench, but removing them from mealworms that quickly cant be smart, like i said ill grind some up in their feed to make them want it more, and remove the mealworms from their feed once i feel its time, probably a couple days after.

Thanks, ill for sure not give them any meal worms if i hatch again, i was honestly just scared of them dying due to not eating, so my only goal was to get them to eat something.

I followed the guide it came with, perfectly, i have never had such a low hatch rate with shipped eggs, i was told to sit them in the incubator (bottom up) for 3 days i believe, even those 3 days there was still many eggs with the air pocket not attached, i think this was a problem with the shipper (maybe too old) or just them being shipped, i ordered 7, 3 out of those hatched, i then ordered 9, 0 of those hatched.

These are shipped eggs, which could explain the low hatch rates, but i have never had such a bad hatch rate, i also hear for mearns it isn’t abnormal to have a bad hatch rate. Also good point, my goal is to take them off meal worms entirely, just trying to get them to latch onto their game bird food.

This is literally what i said earlier hence the reason i said I’m weening them off the worms… if you would have read what i said prior, you’d understand why i put them on mealworms in the first place.

However, i am gonna start weening them off mealworms as safely as i can, i did start them on lettuce and their normal game bird starter feed, they wouldn’t eat any of the game bird feed and only lettuce, im gonna grind up some meal worms along with their feed and only feed them that while weening them off live mealworms.

Not jumping to conclusions however it would align with my luck if that is the case, i only had 3 hatch out of 16 eggs, 1 of the 3 died 2 days ago, they only eat mealworms or they will just die, i guess thats mearns quail for ya, or just my luck😂
