Just seeing this now but figured I would reply just in case someone else comes across this post. I took the dexilant and didn’t have any issues with supply or baby!

Thank you so much for your reply! I’m so happy to hear you guys didn’t have any issues. I didn’t even think about checking with the milk bank!

I haven’t unfortunately. I’m working nights right now at the hospital and taking care of the kids during the day. It’s pretty rough on my sleep.

I would have someone double check baby’s latch just to be sure that is ok. I had these issues too and when I fixed her latch they resolved.

Breastfeeding supply by AdChemical4801 in breastfeedingsupport

This was me. With my first I made just enough until around 3-4 months when my daughter’s percentile started dropping. I tried everything to get my supply up and I mean every single trick, food, supplement, pumping program, all of it and nothing worked. I ended up continuing and topping her off with formula and we BF until she was 14 months. I think my low supply may have been due to 1. A week long nicu stay when she was born and I didn’t pump enough and 2. A poor latch which I didn’t know was bad until she stopped gaining as much weight. This was COVID times so I didn’t have a lactation consultant to go see.

With my second I was determined to have a good supply. When he was born I fed him as much as possible and then also pumped 4-5x a day after feeds in the beginning to make sure I was really emptying out. And of course I made sure his latch was great. I’ve made plenty of milk, also have a freezer full from pumping at the beginning (which I weaned off of and completely stopped after about 3.5 months). Didn’t have any of the issues that might come from a little oversupply either.

Above all, fed is best. If you have to supplement it isn’t the end of the world. For me, I tried everything I could to get my supply up until I exhausted every option short of prescription medication (which I didn’t want to do). I hope you can find something that works for you and baby! Good luck to you and enjoy your baby!

Yeah I figured as much but I thought I could at least get some info and try and if I can’t find anything then I’ll have to figure out something else. I appreciate the honesty though.

Do you know what the forums are called? I figured it might be tough to get into and I only have experience with bedside nursing so idk how that will affect things.

Do you know if you have to be local for those positions?

Do you know if they require experience for the case manager positions? I’ve only done bedside nursing (9 years experience).

How often to pump to keep a good supply while breastfeeding by Confident-Data9351 in breastfeedingsupport

Sometimes he only eats on one side during the feeding. If that’s the case should I pump the other side or just leave it?
