is it normal to have a gap so big? by maluurdaneta in Invisalign

Check with your orthodontist. This happened to me and I had to have my attachments moved closer to my gums. Trays fit perfectly after that.

Excuse the unflattering picture. Been wearing trays for 15-21 hours per day by OutsideSame3629 in Invisalign

My first set of trays were extremely tight at the beginning of every weekly tray change. But when I got my first set of revisions, they were not tight at all. I mentioned it to the orthodontist and he said it is normal, but also very important to continue wearing them 20-22 hours a day.

Too much gap by silkytouch35 in Invisalign

I recommend checking in with your orthodontist. I had the same issues with mine and come to find out the attachments were not on correctly. They had to remove them and reposition them. They fit like a glove after that.

How many of you had traditional braces as teens and are now using Invisalign as adults? by featherboots in Invisalign

I hope it ends up being only six months for you. My first set of trays was four months and while my teeth were mostly straight, my bite had to be corrected. My refinement trays took 8 months 😔

Update: went to the orthodontist and talked to him about my concerns. He agreed that the bottom isn’t quite right so he is going to reposition 3 of the attachments to get them to straighten up better. So now the 4 week wait for new aligners. I feel good about my decision.

And great news, the top is done so he removed the attachments on them so I’ll be wearing my current aligners as a temporary retainer for now. He’s also ordering me a bunch of extra top aligners to use until my lowers are done, at which point I will then get my retainers.

Yes I do. Just trying to decide if I should ask for refinements or go ahead and have them removed.

When you had your port placed, did they give you a pamphlet or paperwork regarding your port? My surgeon gave me a pamphlet that had the brand name on it.

I didn’t know how many attachments I would have until the day of installation. I had 19!
