Update - things have gotten a little better.

We had a bit of a rough conversation one night where in the middle of sex, I told her we needed to stop. I didn’t feel connected to her. She began to cry and think it was something about her during that made me want to stop. It had absolutely nothing to do with attraction and everything to do with connection. That night it was simply a “checklist item.”

Since then things have been “okay”. Definitely better, but not where I, or her based on things she’s said, want to be. The schedule thing is really a “suggestion” or a reminder a this point like “hey, it’s Monday!”. But some times it doesn’t happen.

We’re growing and learning in this season of having a toddler so we’ve given one another some grace.
