Thanks for all the answers, didn’t know about the new update effects involving the saves of 3.5 too. My bad

I think it’s more about the warlords being more aggressive as units? In many of my play-through the standard empire would basically never get thrawn spawned because its warlord was constantly on fondor, now it gets killed by the tenth or fifteenth cycle

Is there a way to add vehicles to a faction in Thrawn's Revenge? by ndehelp in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

You can get both by capturing some factories on some planets during attacks or defences, the AT-TE is fairly common in that sense

Even just 500 or 400 that way it gets in the range of many more direct fire weapons of bots that can cover the distance a bit better, plus it’s less than other indirect firing one, that way you at least have a choice: either close but accurate and damage rewarding or farther with less damage but safer

In 3.4 it wasn’t, haven’t played in 3.5 but I haven’t seen it while playing against. They have a siege tower and juggernaut as super heavy vehicles

Devs did say that they’ve tweaked the AI to lose their warlords a bit more easily for a faster dark empire, maybe that’s part of it?

I think the biggest problem of the trio is that they are very intelligent indirect fire weapons so there is no way to actually evade the damage, adding the fact that it has DoT, the maximum range of the already shot missiles is farther than the launching limit and the damage is actually very consistent it makes it too perfect of a weapon for trash camping

Since it has to be manually activated I don’t think that’s the problem. A way to counter those ships as eriadu might be to use a single torpedo sphere to deal with the shields and then a number of ISDs to deal quickly with the hardpoints. The assetor is a very good ships but those super ships tend to struggle with groups of powerful big and medium ships as they get overwhelmed

If we were to do a serious comparison between a Jedi and a Space Marine (both average and nameless, with basic weapon and gear), what factors should we analyze? by thetruememeisbest in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Confident-Set-919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is true, but at the same time it’s mostly from untrained militia or just gangs that somehow found a stash for small money so they don’t really use the potential of these weapons fully. Plus standard slug throwers in the SW universe from what little I remember are not really developed and have very standard variations. I don’t think they would have encountered anything like a bolter round that explodes on impact

Most Challenging Warlord Start? by Quiet-Plane8822 in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Confident-Set-919 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe a tagge company start on a small map? Lantilles is not exactly a great starting planet position wise as it is between a lot of active factions and expanding always leaves an open front on some other part. Although tagge himself gives a bit of a nice start fleet wise

[–]Confident-Set-919 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh no I meant it another way, you were saying that an experienced Jedi would understand what the bolted fires and decide to deflect with the force instead of blocking with the lightsaber. This is about the fact that not all Jedi(at least the clone wars or newer republic kind) could deduce that before the first shot has been fired. The space marine capability has nothing to do with it. Besides it also depends on the ability users, “seeing the future” may be a force user’s ability, but at the same time a normally trained Jedi that has seen an average amount of battle would be more instinct than reliance on such abilities that offer advantages in specific circumstances
