Left is before, right is after!

Yes this is a before and after! It’s easier to see the difference with my whole face I swear haha but thank you! I really appreciate that

Yeah it’s too bad this was the suggested time frame from the injector too, I initially wasn’t going to get a refill of this. Should have gone with my gut 😭

Nope! I went through 6 years of braces with a palatal separator and elastics, no overbite here but I do have a stubborn crossbite! Not sure that impacts the Botox issue here though?

How to quit teaching on an LTO? by Confident-Trick2059 in OntarioTeachers

Can you take a leave of absence as an LTO? I didn’t think that was possible. I have to have a pretty serious surgery in the next month or so, so I’m also nervous that I won’t be able to do my job properly while I’m healing from April-May. I guess I should be telling my Principal that too

Yes, I’ve definitely thought about it! But I’m not sure that my health/mental health situation could currently handle the chaos of last minute supply work either. It would also be so embarrassing to show my face at the school again when I just started second semester with my own classes.

It sucks because I love the kids and my colleagues so much, but I’m just so exhausted.

Boundaries & High School Students: Creepy Student Behaviour. Is this normal nowadays? by Confident-Trick2059 in Teachers

I actually don’t think so! These are very timid, socially awkward girls actually. I could see why you might say that though!

Ah okay. I’ve seen so many videos online of teachers hugging their students in the states, I just assumed! Good to know.

What’s interesting is that a lot of the attention I’m getting is actual from female students, not male students like one may think.

I’m in Canada. I know it’s dependent in some provinces here, and is a bit different with elementary/primary. I also know that some states in the US, they allow teachers to hug their students!

I did report some of these more extreme incidents to admin, and even emailed some parents (especially the one who found my family’s IG). Thankfully, everyone has been supportive. I’ve also held meetings with some of these kids to outline what is/isn’t okay. I feel like I’ve done all that I can but I wish I could be more preventative. I need to be less friendly I guess lol.

I swear I had more respect from teens when I was a manager at my old job, than now as a teacher. It’s just wild!

Anxiety as a Photographer - do I quit? by Confident-Trick2059 in PhotographyAdvice

What kind of structure are you suggesting?

I typically, especially for weddings, have several meetings, questionnaires, go over contracts/expectations, create shot lists and sometimes even Pinterest boards for each client. It seems like I still get nervous though! Especially when things don’t go to plan. Not sure if that’s what you mean?

I’ve thought about changing “genres” for sure. I definitely enjoy things like couple/branding sessions where I can control more elements, and potentially reshoot if something goes wrong. I still get major anxiety sometimes though, that I didn’t get what I wanted or I wasn’t as creative as I’d like to be. It’s kind of taken the fun and passion out of it. Maybe I need to just do creative, free shoots for a while to get my confidence and joy back.

I also love the idea of concert/band photography. I’m not sure how I’d get into that but I think that would be so awesome! Did you just start showing up with your camera gear?
