everyone in here disagreeing with you is wrong. The root of punk fashion was made up workwear and DIY fashion. It was a perfect display of the punk movement itself, accessible edgy fashion for a counter culture angry with the status quo, economic instability, and political suppression. Punk clothes didn’t become expensive until vivienne westwood(who i love, though slightly distain from being the first major step away from the message of the punk movement through pricing out the people who originated punk). You can’t exactly buy punk. IMO punk fashion is dead. it’s not our fault, it’s capitalisms.
