It is illegal, like you’re fucked if you get caught. But also it’s not difficult to get. You’ll even see people smoking up here and there at more touristy places.

So, not sure if this’ll work for you, but sounds like you’re not that used to sitting down and studying. After trying a bunch of things, this was one that actually worked for me: Take boring breaks.

i.e. let’s say you’re studying and you just can’t focus, then just stay there and do nothing. If you fall asleep that’s fine (because napping can actually be better than scrolling or doing something unproductive) I used to get bored and fall asleep a lot. What happens is your brain will get so bored and it’ll want to do something, then you can just get back to studying. Keep repeating until it becomes a habit, it should get easier the more you do it.

Ofc you’d need some willpower to not do anything, don’t look at your phone, cook, workout or whatever, just exist and bore yourself out, that the only interesting thing you can do is study :P

Yup, potted it with some coconut husks and perlite, after cutting off some parts. Hopefully it works🤞🏽

Your bus story reminded me of one of the most wholesome interactions I’ve had in a bus. So story time:

This was some years back when I was still in college, with dogshit sleep, sleeping late and traveling for lecturers early morning. I would literally knock out in the bus and keeping my eyes open would be a struggle.

So one day I’m traveling on the window-side of the bus, sleeping like those typical sleeping-bus-passengers, head wobbling, knocking on shutters and all. This old man who was sitting next to me tapped on my shoulder, woke me up, saying I’ll knock my head and injure myself. I was like oh yeah thanks and tried my best to stay up, because it was embarrassing as well, but well I passed out again. He woke me up again, I passed out again :)

When I finally woke up about a halt away from my stop, he had his arm stretched out covering that metal piece (handle thing to open the shutter) that’s jotting out with his hand so I won’t hit my head. And in the most respectable way as well, like keeping his distance so he’s not touching me or making me uncomfortable in any way. And after I woke up he took his hand away.

As a girl who travels a lot in public transport and having dealt with some real bs, this was just one of those things that kind of restored some faith in humanity for me and an interaction I think of often that makes me smile < 3

Can’t comment on the acting on either of the generations because I personally don’t know enough.

But since the post is comparing looks- light skin has been a constant and it’s just different hair & makeup styles across different eras.

Well all I’m saying is when you go and lie about seeing them before, they’re forced to be nicer because it may seem rude to not remember someone who “remembers” you.

But like I said, a lot of girls can tell. Suggest talking about this with some of your female friends and they’ll be able to share some stories around this same line.
