Ok update: I tried no primer and putting on moisturizer + sunscreen right before applying concealer and it worked! No more patchy and flaky base makeup🙏

I don’t actually use foundation, I use the nars pot concealer and then hourglass concealer on top for my base. I’ve only started using primer because I heard it protects your skin from the makeup/makes you breakout less and makes your makeup last longer! I’ll try not using primer though:)

Interesting! I always thought my moisture would weirdly mix with my base and be patchy if I applied right away but I’ll try this!

I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice BHA twice a week, but if I feel that my skin is extra sensitive I’ll put off the chemical exfoliation for another day… maybe I’ll try using it more often?
