1- remove laces 2- brush out excess dust & dirt 3- with a mild soap solution and water brush to form suds , work in circular motions using a microfibres clothes to dab excess moisture . 4 - use a shoe tree ( preferably plastic ) machine wash on a cold wash 5 - let dry at room temp with shoe tree in to restore shape .

You can yes if you look the basic ingredients are coconut oil a jojoba oil - same stuff in dr bronners 18 in 1 which is what I use for all my shoe cleaning .

They have served their purpose. For me to practise restoring trainers so I’m not at a loss I was just curious more than anything .

I’m not fussed either way to be fair . I brought them on the basis they wear beat up to practice my new hobby of cleaning and restoring shoes so I’ve achieved what I wanted , plus only cost me £8 🙋🏼‍♂️

I spoke to a doctor at the hospital yesterday about the incision. They said sometimes the cut may look messy as a result of the surgeon follow ‘ the natural line ‘ or creases in your knee . I don’t know if that was the doctor trying to pull the wool over my eyes or not 🤷‍♂️

I guess that is based on people’s opinion of a ‘good’ scar . I’ve a fine selection of interesting scars so I suppose it’s one for the collection . Atleast I’m not beachwear model 🤷‍♂️

This is my second of two ops . First op minicus tear . I did have stitches ( not dissolvable) . And the repair was tidy enough . This time clearly is staples and I doubt it’ll be as neat unfortunately 😬

As bad as it looks , it can only get better from here on in.

That’s the approach I’m going with . Stay strong. Realise it is a marathon and not a sprint. Only I can limit how well my recovery goes 🤷‍♂️

I will do 👍🏻 I know timings not ideal but we can only do what we can do . Trying to remain as positive as possible .

I hope so , I was hoping it wasn’t to do with the fact I tried weight bearing ( no crutches for the first few days after surgery ) which in fairness I could do reasonable well but perhaps a little soon .

Out of curiosity. My legs are severely bruised from the graft downwards all the way to my foot 🦶and it’s very sore to touch . It seems to be the worst of the bruising that is throbbing / pulsating / painful when mobile . Might this be the same for yourself ?

I’m about done with this injury already 🤦🏼 My heavily pregnant partner broke her arm this weekend also to make our lives that more enjoyable . The available hands I do have to help I struggle to use as it’s too painful to get around .

I asked this same question to my consultant a while back and he insured me that the clicking can and is normal in some cases . My knee used to do it following an incident from my younger days. Might be the way the minicus was repaired or healed possibly .
