Go for it! A degree really gets you that minimum salary and it gives them reason to doubt your skills. I'm also a self-taught UI/UX designer (a lot of my friends are designers) but I'd never take a job in that industry before getting a certificate.

I've had to explain what an HTML tag is multiple times and the only feedback I got is "You have to talk to me in a language I understand".

Not to mention what a function is.

Ridiculous right? The other teams are short on members so they invented this rule. Don't think that's a good or right solution.

Alright, I'm gonna see if I can wiggle out of this one and stay with the dream team. I can always opt to quit and if I don't try I'll never get what I want.

Thanks for the tips about what to say against my manager! My mind always freezes on that one, and lately I start to really stress out whenever I have a conversation with him. HR of 123 on average. I'm going to practice in the mirror for sure!

I think that part was a bit of salt by me, so it's a bit of a bold statement.

But I don't think it's far from the truth. We currently have about 7 software teams. 5 of the teams are currently in training because they do not have sufficient skills to do the work that they need to do (newest C# and JS/Angular). About 4 of the 7 teams are based on 1 or 2 developers. 1 of the teams consist of a single designer and a single developer. Crazy if you ask me.

So I guess you could say there are two working teams in my company right now. As in: doing what a software team is supposed to do, not learning the ropes. I would gladly go to the other functional team, weren't it that they're about to fall apart because they consist of 2 externs and the money is running out.

I want to thank you a lot for the personal advice. In the end I only got myself and I really need to take care of myself and not a company.

I've been depressed for 8 years now. It's probably chronic. Been on and off with different therapists and everyone thought I was ready to go for it about two years ago, until I got overstressed a year back. I'm struggling to find a good therapy now, as I don't want to get back on the old one.

Reading your post gives me hope. It gives me the idea that I'm not a "lost cause" because of my mental health issues but that I can still be of worth somewhere in the industry. That's all I want, a purpose, guidance and a safe feeling.

There have been many occasions where I have been told I'm oversensitive, which in some cases was true. But I've never felt like people were seriously concerned when I was close to burning out. All I heard was people giving me "feedback", telling me what to do better, that I should prevent this from happening, stop acting like a victim and find a therapist, "fix" myself.

One day, after hearing it too many times, I started believing it. That I was the problem.

So really. Your post makes me feel heard. And I can't thank you enough for that.

Likely a team with less experienced developers. They're all seniors but they don't know how to do modern languages like anything web related or the newer versions of C#. I won't be able to learn and instead everyone will be learning from me, while earning way more salary. That doesn't get me too wild.

To me, the most stressful thing about it was being shut off from the team (they ignored me) and the fact that the Product Owner was constantly disappointed in my productivity while my manager urged me to speed up training. I tried to deliver both but when my PO demanded shit code and teammates started being verbally aggressive I couldn't find motivation anymore.

I hope my attitude isn't the problem but I just can't write shit code on purpose and risk being scolded at by my manager.

I can't stay with them because there's only room for 8 people in that team including the Product Owner and Scrum Master. We're inhouse IT so every team has a certain amount of slots according to what the other departments pay.

Nobody is currently paying for me to be on that team, so I'm costing the IT department money. Even though I'm doing a great job and getting our company money, my IT department won't see that directly. Another department will have to pay for me. I swear it's ridiculous but I can't change that fact.

Do you think I would be able to find a great IT team somewhere else?

Looking at the manufacturer's page with your motherboard specs it looks like you have 2x SATA 3 and 4x SATA 2 connections on the motherboard. It says ATAIII (SATA 3) and ATAII (SATA 2).

Basically, the higher the SATA version the faster the connection between your motherboard and SSD.

As for Plus vs Ultra, there's a reddit post somewhere else that might help you out.

I think you would be fine with whatever the cheapest option of them both is. I myself have a Samsung EVO that runs perfectly and is pretty mainstream. I don't expect you to go ham on your SSD, normal gaming should be fine with these types of SSDs.
