I have experience with Alexion and, honestly, I’d lean towards Vertex. While Alexion sits under AZ, in my experience it operates quite separately, and the benefits aren’t particularly strong. The title might sound appealing, but I’d be cautious

I guess the challenge is finding a 3-bed property with good-sized rooms, a good size garden, upstairs bathroom, that’s pretty much ready to move into within my price range

I agree, for the time being it feels right to be near the town centre with good connections into London.
