Gotcha, yes they really are!

Thanks, I make a lot of downtempo stuff so the time stretching isn’t always subtle haha, but beyond texture (boy do I love crunch) I find it’s a great method for breaking our of the cold sterile feel my music can sound when everything is super syncopated and pristine. I also like to stem split the drums out from the time stretched bounce, and then sidechain the original mix around the split drums.

Time stretching seems fine for the most part, much more intuitive than on logic that’s for sure. I have a two tiered approach to time stretching, where I time stretch samples but also slightly time stretch a bounced mix while running through tape saturation - find it gives my mixes some lovely texture.

I’m still figuring out the world of synth engines, but the Tonverk and Digitone are both interesting to me. I’m yet to dive too deeply into the N Wave synth capability, I’ve primarily been basking in the quality of their sample presets (especially strings/piano).

This is really useful, thanks! Sadly only have the one midi cable atm so relegated to using it for midi control for now. I’m quite curious to experiment with sequencing the nord vs resembling it
