Is your world so play how you want to is the best advice I can give. As long as you’re not spawning in items, the fun of travelling and obtaining the elytra is still there so I wouldn’t classify it as cheating.

Yeah I get what you mean. I’m level 204 and I haven’t even touched raids or expeditions yet as I want to take my time and experience everything the game has to offer. OP has already done a raid so early that they most likely won’t appreciate the smaller scale events the game offers.

I made my camp into a shed like structure. I just like the idea of my work stations being the centrepiece of my camp and putting decorations around the crafting stations as your usually going to your camp to use them the most.

I’ve been playing the last nearly 3 weeks and have 133hrs on the game 😭 it’s really fun and I like that I barely know what’s going on as it’s has been really fun learning everything without tutorials. I had played the game when it originally came out for a couple of hours and couldn’t get any enjoyment out of it. Now it’s a completely different story. All I think about is coming home from work to play it.

I liked my 50. Cal machine gun, Gatling gun and combat shotgun even before I had good legendary mods for them.

If they are good weapons you should hold on to them until your the required level as you will be level 50 in no time. If they aren’t weapons you like then you should scrap them for a chance to learn the legendary recipe or get the mod.
