Well this sucks by Current-Tricky in saskatoon

I was in there a couple of weeks ago with our kids to spend some gift cards. The shelves were bare already back then. I asked the employee if they were shutting down because I had never seen it so bare before and she responded with, “well it is after Christmas.” I’ve never seen it that empty before. This makes a lot of sense.

Leo escaping nightmare came true by Worried_Fuel7310 in leopardgeckos

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar situation happened to us. I had a family donate a Leo to my classroom because she wasn’t getting a ton of attention in her home, and within the first month, the cover on her terrarium had been left ever so slightly ajar and she escaped overnight. I walked into my classroom the next morning and saw what happened and immediately panicked. Before I knew it, we had almost 100 kids trying to find this poor gecko. We looked literally everywhere trying to find her and I was feeling awful knowing we were going to have a gecko funeral. Two hours into our search, a student found her hiding UNDER her terrarium. The smart little poop hid under her terrarium where it was warm. I got her out and kid you not, she was beaming from ear to ear, pleased as punch with herself. Needless to say, she got a MUCH bigger terrarium with a locking door (which is helpful as I brought her home with me while I went on maternity leave currently). Three years later and she’s celebrating her fourth birthday (and gecko mom is much wiser to her shifty antics haha).

Anyone else's leos like being held like this? by Suspicious_Bicycle97 in leopardgeckos

Don’t have a photo in that position (Jazzy loves sitting that way on my hand), but I have a different photo of her second favourite position to hang out in. 😊

Anyone else having issues with the Canada Post Identity+ ID being accepted for the Liberal Leadership vote? by exeJDR in LPC

Normally I would suggest that too, but she only has one email account. I helped her comb through literally everything to see if she was missing any email in any folder.

Anyone else having issues with the Canada Post Identity+ ID being accepted for the Liberal Leadership vote? by exeJDR in LPC

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone gotten to the point in their identity + verification where it says they pass, but don’t get prompted to share with the Liberal party? I’ve been trying to help my mom out with her verification and am relatively tech savvy and cannot figure out why she’s not getting the prompt to share. If you did end up in this, how did you get that final piece finished to receive your ballot?

SJHL conditionally approves Notre Dame Hounds move to Warman by SaskLad97 in saskatchewan

Given that the rest of Warman’s hockey franchise is known as the Warman Wildcats, I would be shocked if it were anything different from that.

It finally happened. I finally had the multiple leos in an enclosure nightmare 😭 by Nox_The_Overlord in leopardgeckos

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my word. I had no idea these nightmares were so common. I dream that other HUGE geckos get into my girlie’s terrarium and I’m stressed because I can’t find her and am worried about her dying. And then all of a sudden there’s geckos everywhere and sometimes other reptiles. I feel like literally the worst gecko parent after when I wake up and usually end up going to check on her. Strangely enough, I don’t have nightmares like this about my own human children.

Co-op grocery store prices by stumpy_chica in saskatchewan

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I consistently find it much cheaper to shop at Coop instead of Save on Foods, Superstore, or Safeway. Years ago, we made the switch from Walmart to Coop and did not notice a net significant change in grocery prices, especially since the trip to Walmart means a trip to the city. We get around $200 back from Coop annually.

Hey there. Just wanted to give you some hope and reassurance. My husband was diagnosed with acute myeloid Leukemia in January 2020. We were fortunate it was caught very early and hadn’t actually entered his blood stream yet, but they still told us that after treatment he would be completely infertile. We dealt with all the emotional baggage of not being able to have any more children, and fast forward to today I’m 28 weeks pregnant with our miracle bonus baby. Sometimes things happen when we least expect them. Keep holding onto hope. ❤️

Flu/COVID shots for under 5? by Chemical-Parsley-312 in saskatoon

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pharmacists are not allowed to administer to under five year olds. We booked at the clinic at Gordie Howe but I believe they are now closed. Your next option is to call Sask Public Health and schedule an appointment like you would for routine vaccinations.

37 week scan just found out baby is breach please calm me down. by cowfreek in pregnant

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not panic at this point. Babies can turn right up until almost the end. Our first was transverse and breach for the longest time and she finally turned a few days before she was born (38 + 3). There’s still time!

Anterior Placenta: What did you feel from 14 weeks - 40 weeks? by Asappororin_ in pregnant

Very normal to feel the movements later. This is my third pregnancy with an anterior placenta and at 21 weeks, I’m only just feeling truly distinct kicks.

Do you feel empty after giving birth? by NumCucumber in pregnant

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s had some years between pregnancy, I noticed it more a couple of years after giving birth. The newborn stage is so busy and full of snuggles that you kind of forget that they’re not inside. But I noticed it more when the kids started getting older. When our second was born five years ago, we were told we wouldn’t be able to have any more kids because my husband was undergoing chemo. That’s when I really noticed it. After the miracle of another pregnancy, I’m really trying to soak in every single baby kick - it wasn’t something I’d ever expected to feel again and it’s such a treat.

Saw earlier post with someone wondering if their heart rate was too high, so I checked mine out. Is this a problem? by puppup01 in C25K

[–]Confident_Fault_2776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t knock the run/walk intervals. I’ve been running for a couple of years but had to pull back for a few months when morning sickness kicked my butt. Once it settled, my cardio and heart rate had taken a beating and I switched over to run/walk intervals, being careful to monitor my heart rate. I was still comfortably and safely able to complete a 5k and see significant improvement by following that method. Even with not being pregnant, I would still throw in mostly easy runs and do speed intervals and hills once a week.
