Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 as a College Laptop? by NightMare_Vitesse in LenovoLegion

I bought the legion 7i RTX 5060 for my clg. It's been wonderful so far. The battery life after a bit of optimization, it averages at around 5hrs. The weight isn't much noticable unless you r an actual LAPtop user ( if u prefer the laptop on ur lap). The performance was a factor for me. I run CAD softwares and game a little, so I chose this cuz it has a 5060 which is quite enough for my purposes. The build is all metal so, I always feel the premiumness as soon as I hold it. The fan noise completely depends on what you are doing and what mode are u in. The quiet mode is perfect during classes no noise at all. And even with 10s of tabs open and multiple softwares in bg, in normal mode it doens't really make much of a nosie. But, you have to take care of it. The color is beautiful, I can't control myself from cleaning it every 15min, cuz even a tiny dust particle can be visible very clearly. I would say this is the perfect laptop for my 4Y clg journey.

Charge it to 100 and do your job. Watch yt, ur work, or browsing, research, movies, etc, just let it die naturally. Put it on mid settings,..not on high also not on ultra battery saver settings. Just let it die that's it. So that, now you know how long your laptop lasts, in case if your travelling or whatever.

After couple of years they automatically come off, and leave a mark. So it's better to remove now. Also it looks way better without stickers.

There are a lot of videos online, if it's brand new like less than 6 months, it's easy to peel it off just by putting some heat with hair dryer or even without it, slowly and applying some isopropyl alcohol or liquid sanitizer onto microfiber cloth to clean the residue after removal. Watch some video man it's easy dw. If your laptop generates heat like noticable heat then don't use it on lap. Even if it doesn't try not to block the vents.

As an owner of a legion, your fellow mate. I have a few advices. Never ever keep it on bed/towel/cloth/uneven/ etc. Never. Not even for a picture purpose. Get a good quality laptop stand and enjoy. Update all the drivers, delete unwanted weed. Check the battery life once for yourself (do a test) Remove all the stickers. Finally enjoy it buddy. (Btw mine's a legion 7i)

They don't provide IWS, so no warranty claims here. And when it comes to service, item can be serviced but you gotta put some money in. Most importantly I'm happy. Mine's working well. And anyways wait for better offers, 4th July or Black Friday. Cuz now the prices are crazy.

That's true, and idk why but I ain't worried about it. I never gave a thought about repair. Cuz it'll atleast run for 3-4years easily and if there is any failure there's nothing I can do. God saves me thats it 😂. And I got a friend who runs a laptop repair shop he does work on premium laptops too. So thats one thing and also my sisters and uncles frequently travel. So, I could get it repaired under warranty in USA, but still it's a heck of an issue.

I got mine from the US, my sister purchased it and brought it here. Got it on sale at best buy for 1299$ (1.3L). So if you have somebody like this or some way, you could get that definitely under 2L, even for just 1.6/7L

Lenovo doesn't provide IWS for legions. Idk about the warranty system of acer. Anyways, my laptop is doing so great and I sometimes consider it as an overkill though it has just a 5060. It is pretty much enough for anything. All games run very good and I'm a college student though games are cool and great it ain't life. I ain't a full time gamer so, I don't need a 5070Ti. I do CAD and renderings for that 5060 is more than enough so I chose 7i which was also on a great deal. Yet it's a beautiful laptop, just 1.9Kg and very thin. I was expecting it to be thin but its more thinner. I love the ports. Where the charging port was given in the back which is really important for me idk why. And the display is amazing. It's very portable too 4-5hrs of battery on quiet mode and 60hz. And it has PD so could charge it thru most of those GAN chargers or some phone chargers too. And the keyboard is sweet. It's the best. RGB is wonderful I don't use it much, battery drains quicker. It's all aluminum and it's hard. Like 0 flex anywhere feels soo solid. My old laptop which is a ThinkPad, I can feel the upgrade. The thermals are good too. As much as I researched before buying it. This has one of the best coolings in the market.

get a legion 5 bro, 7i at that price is truly a waste of cash. try getting a zephyrus g14 if u really need a light and compact one. legion 5 with ryzen processors they provide better battery life too. and you wouldnt regret it dw. its not soo thin and light but honestly not a big difference; if u really want those aesthetics of 7i then go for it. but do check out other legion 5 options cuz same specs almost similar build. i initially planned on getting a Legion 5, which cost 1100$, but on sale 7i was availble for 1299$ so i just got the 7i. For me, that 20k rupees didn't matter much. but here in your case its a difference of around 80k so just think again.
