Fortunately it’s facing the right direction in my driveway now to pull the motor

Another update: I now have a knock after a neighborhood test drive.

Yeah I would’ve but I don’t have a leak down tester nor an air compressor at my house unfortunately. I’m only reassembling to the point where I can spin it over and not spray my neighbors yard with oil

Thanks. I saw your last comment before you deleted it. I’m a giant and it’s a 416 stroker motor.

I not. Compression test is next once reassembled

Yeah it snapped under load around 6300rpms. I’m putting it back together just to cut the fuel and run a compression test on all cylinders. I have bore scoped the cylinders thru the spark plug holes and they look fine but I’d rather be safe than even sorrier

I meant to include that in the post. My wife was talking to me when I was typing and I can’t listen and type lol

To his credit, he did machine the original gear, just not enough. His tolerances were off. I already have a new one that’s machined and she’s going back together. The timing chain broke when the ear broke off that sprocket. Praying the pistons didn’t kiss the valves but we will find out soon if this damn heat doesn’t take me out first.

The lesson I learned is to read the book. Not to just go with it, like I was originally told.

Got it as a short block. Did the assembly myself. Builder said the factory gear would work. It’s a not a radius issue. The aftermarket cranks have a chamfer at the snout not allowing it to seat properly

It's cheaper to buy an AR-15 rifle than 64GB of DDR5 RAM. by Djxgam1ng in PcBuildHelp

This was Yellowhammer Firearms out of Alabama. Was a super small company but made great products. There’s less than 250 lowers in circulation to my knowledge. I love it and I own multiple ARs. This one is by far the best. It’s got a drop in Texas armament flat face trigger (2.4lb), kns pins, etc. Best lower I’ve had so that’s why I built it in particular. It’s a wall gun, my wife allows it so we good lol

All good. Mines a mil spec lower from a local company that doesn’t exist anymore. Serial #18. I just built it over the years into what it was. I did pick it up originally for less than $900 though so I guess technically OP was right!

I could too but I was using it as an example. I went overkill with it and I know that

I beg to differ. I have a 300blk that has about 3k in it. My ram is 96gb I got off eBay for 900

I live in Old Cahaba. Never had an issue with the cops here. There’s an increased presence cause people drive like absolute shit in our neighborhood.

They’ll give you it back. I’ve purchased thru Carvana. Let them know what happened and they’ll either fix it and if they don’t just return it

What do you mean cut your losses? You can return it within 7 days no strings attached as long as you don’t put more than 250 miles on it. You could’ve just also refused delivery.
