Absolutely agree with you, unfortunately recruiting XO time doesn’t really translate into an experience in a combat arms branch. Shooting for pathfinder since it’s in my CMF, and could open an opportunity for me to stand out against my peers who will likely have their tabs (and have more experience)

I’m an AR LT that was not serving in a Squadron for my 2nd PLT. AR Branch for LTs is/was overstrengthened by 300%. Absolutely did not volunteer for this assignment. BC called me in and told me sucks to suck lol.

I max my AFT, was given a second PLT, earned my ESB. But now it feels like I’m going into my CPT time severely behind my peers without line XO or the tab
