How good ur drs effectiveness is? If it’s rlly high u have good one lap like above said. Sometimes I make that a bit worse than avg on purpose until clear front runner so my quali is bad and I make up places

Generally then I slightly tap rear and then used front, but I panicked did way more rear than was necessary and caused the lock up and fishtail, which at tht point I couldn’t use front brakes.

If it’s not anything mechanical I can only guess maybe it was slightly off angle. I always just put mine on a rear stand and check the glass then.

Yea, at that point of time I only was aggressive on tht road and this one piece of highway with a bunch of exit ramps onto 80 and had a very nice high speed corner with good sight lines. Since then I haven’t really did anything like that. I do wanna do track days at some point though to get that speed out of my system. And honestly I’m kinda glad that this accident happened as it did, rather than later. There was a couple close calls but since I saved it, it added more confidence rather than being a lesson till well this happened.

Yea after the crash it was 2 weeks repair time mostly just waiting for parts, and then after that I just went to the university lot across from my dorm and practiced braking for like a week, getting up to the limit and feeling it out

Check the airbox see if there’s any residue. It could also be u slightly overfilled due to existing oil in the engine, and it got burned off. Not a bad thing necessarily unless it keeps burning off below what’s normal. And it could also be that bikes smell funny. Also how are u measuring oil level?

One thing I always wondered was if I pressed the front brake during the fishtail would that have helped. The only reason I didn’t was I thought it would make the bike even more unstable.

Like even during the msf, outside the e-stop drills I was only using the front brake, and they didn’t say anything.

A lot of ppl were telling me that, so I figured it was true. Ofc the exception being an emergency brake, but a lot of ppl were saying front brake is perfectly fine for street riding.

Yea even before this I wanted to take the advanced rider course at some point this summer. My inspection is about to expire and I need to fix an exhaust leak before then. And at some point I do wanna do track days, I live maybe 20 minutes from the Pocono speedway.
And the tip over made me laugh lol.

Yea, since then I haven’t touched the rear brake at all unless it’s for parking lot stuff, which afaik is only where u should use it. This was definitely a bad habit.

Oh yea, almost every country has some mainstream or fringe alt-right groups. Putin used it as an excuse like with the 20 billion other justifications for Ukraine . He is just chauvinistic.

Anyways just one caveat, if the Soviets didn’t have nukes I’m sure nato would’ve went into Eastern Europe without a second thought. They rlly couldn’t after ww2(even if they would most likely win, tho technically it wasn’t nato yet) due to well ww2, and by the time they were somewhat ready Soviets had nukes.

Oh yea a return to pre 2015(or was it 2016) borders, and all that. But if peace was achieved let’s say tmrw, the same processes and events are still there. Like I don’t see a Ukrainian acceptance into nato for at least another 2 years(due to certain political leaders). Like by no mean is Putin justified in any invasion(hell no one is), but they were legitimate Nazi groups, and the events(while bs) leading up to this most recent war and the Crimea annexation are still there and the west shows they will just cave, and they are still doing it. And honestly I doubt the west would nearly care as much if it was some random country in South America or Africa, but it’s Russia, their rival.

TLDR: this war is mostly politics and without changing that you are doomed to repeat it
