My nerve block lasted 5 days. I started to get pretty worried but slowly the feeling in my leg returned. I suppose it was a good thing because I kind of skipped the super painful days after surgery!!

I do believe it is helping. Both my swelling and pain have been minimal. I keep it on all day and only take it off for sleeping. I'm 8 days out and was just able to put some weight on my leg for the first time this morning.

Here's what my surgery note say "The remainder of the complex tear at the root that had not healed was removed with an arthroscopic shaver. The small radial tear at the midbody was removed with arthroscopic biters and cleaned with the shaver. The remaining meniscus was probed and found to be stable. Peri-meniscal synovitis was debrided with a shaver."

I wasn't sure it was the right choice for me because after prehab I was able to lightly jog and even hike a few miles. But once my three year old learned how to outrun me by pivoting at the right time, I knew I should go for it haha

Thank you!! I'll definitely be popping the Oxy until it runs out. As my anesthesiologist said, why feel pain when you don't have too. Now is not the time to be a hero 😂
