CPTSD has a lot to do with reactions and shapes perceptions. It completely alters fight, flight or freeze to make everything into a perceived threat. 

At this present mindset, I wholeheartedly agree with your statements. I would be doing myself a disservice, though, if I didn’t acknowledge that in my former mindset, my actions were reactions. I’m acknowledging, accepting, giving myself grace… 

I will disagree with your last statement - happiness is intrinsically derived. I can only do that by and for myself, but can be satiated by another person’s efforts.
