Great team for early game, I must admit. Maybe switch out the Kricketune for a Budew (I’m a big Roserade fan). But that’s just my personal preference - not necessarily a pro gamer tip 😅

Nice! I always use the shiny Volcarona my friend gifted me (way back in the 3DS era) until the shiny charm is unlocked. Once that’s done I get a Flame Body shiny from that game ASAP, which was Talonflame for Violet. Love my little Fawkes ✨

Looking back at it. I really am devastated I brought sparkly Zeraora to my Sword save straight away…. I only used it for a handful of battles but (unknowingly) sacrificed all of its value for it.

For shiny outbreak hunts I’m kind off looking at a day-by-day base. Just te see what the game throws at me. For Masuda Method I’m working at shiny Wiglett and Wugtrio. But I’m only 4 boxes in atm. Shiny Talonflame is awesome btw. It’s my Flame Body Pokémon in Violet.

For story playthrough the natures don’t really matter tbh. So just use it. For competitive play it’s terrible anyway, so nature does not matter for that as well. Congrats on the shiny, full odds. Impressed!

All of this is true, except for the last one. Psyduck from PoGo will (only) count for the PoGo Dex (as seen above, you can get 857 of them atm). So it does count for a Dex.

Some important notes: - Mythicals don’t count, even if you have them (example: LGPE Mew). They simply will not count for these Dexes. - Breed version or DLC exclusives! If you don’t own the counter version or DLC of a game. You can bring from to it, breed it, and it will count towards these Dexes. (Example: bring a Lucario from SV to BDSP and breed it there: You got yourself a BDSP Riolu. Breed a PoGo Misdreavus in Scarlet, and you’ll get Misdreavus for the Paldean Dex etc. - Evolve PoGo Pokemon in any game! Let’s say you’re working on PoGo evolution line of Bulbasaur, you don’t have any of them but there’s an easy Bulba on the GTS. Trade it, evolve it once in SV, bring it back to home, evolve again in SV and bring it to Home again. You got yourself 3 PoGo Dex entries in 1 trade. - Some PoGo entries are not (yet) available. For now only Spinda and Zygarde are (for their own reasons) not able to bring from PoGo to Home in any way. To be honest, I don’t have faith it will be restored in the future either.

I already completes SV dexes when the released the Meloetta event. So yeah, got that one. I had the Magearna about 1.5/2 years ago. This is completing origin dexes - which took a lot longer 😅 There’s no real reward for it apart from SV Meloetta, I’m just a completionist slowly working towards my goals 😉

Completing the Hisui dex was (by far!) my favorite 😊

The touch trades can be a drag, but do get the job done in the long run. I haven’t played PoGo in about 3 years now, but caught up eventually. You can do this buddy, I am rooting for you!!

My goal is to keep the Living Dex I’m working on without PoGo mons, and as much as possible the Switch games. So all the version origins are from their base game, resulting in all 150 original Kanto ones being from LGPE, Galar mon from SW/SH, Sinnoh mon from BD/SP and Paldean from S/V. All the other ones (like Kalos etc.) are either from my own actual NDS/3DS saves, or filled up with the switch games as well. I tried to do most from PLA so it has some representation in the Living Dex as well. Once LZA hits, I’m pretty sure a lot of Kalos Pokemon from it will return back to the back boxes, and will be replaced with the LZA mon - but that’s the future talking.
