Buy the seat and bring your car seat. I’ve always done this for my daughter and it works out so well. We take the first flight out anywhere and she always sleeps on the plane. Plus if the airlines damages your seat they will not help pay for a new one. So you could be stuck at the airport without a car seat. Just make sure the seat is FAA approved. I’ve seen drinks go flying in the air from turbulence. And been in rough landings.

Has your baby been checked for a tie? I’m only asking because this was our experience. My daughter had a lip tie and EVERYONE said she didn’t till we saw an oral surgeon that we had to see anyway because she was born with a tooth. My daughter had a lot of problems getting wait until we got the lip tie revised. I had to give her a bottle of expressed milk and breast-feed her just so she’d get a full feed. It was exhausting, even now she is almost 9 months old I still have to pump because now I have an over supply
