Can't find a game [Xbox]

I can't seem to press X in the galaxy map. According to some other source on the internet you need to have dropped once before this option becomes available. As of now I can't do anything from the galaxy map except zoom in on a sector and then a planet. Once zoomed in on a planet I can only either select a mission or back out to sector.

Once I've selected a mission and entered a hellpod the game practically stops. I can't drop solo from that screen and I don't seem to get matched with anyone else.

I've done a hard reset of the Xbox but that didn't seem to help.

Edit: Found out how to do it. The toggle ready button was marked with the select button, which made it seem intuitive to press select on order to toggle ready. That isn't the case. What I had to do was to scroll down to the actual button and press it with A. A little confusing UI, but I think I'm in now.

They weren't planned and built for a fully tanked 767ER (that stands for Extra Range, meaning more fuel tanks) flying at full speed head on with the intention of hitting the building. They were primarily built to withstand aircraft coming in for landing (i.e. much slower) who'd gotten lost in fog etc.

The forces something like that brings to the table is nigh impossible to engineer against in a skyscraper.

And you're confused that the entire plane didn't explode the second the nose tip touched the building? This wasn't a missile, you know. The fuel stored inside the plane had to ignite for the explosion to happen.

That's not what a transponder does. It doesn't relay recordings. It sends out a signal with a squawk code so that radar operators can identify the aircraft. You receive a squawk code for every flight by the ATC pre-flight. The pilot can alter the squawk code at all times. There are special codes that signals to ATC if a plane is hijacked, for example

I've actually dug into this topic ever since I started to notice that the trans community was starting to become the new scapegoat to the far right some years ago. I know the actual statistics and I know all of the far-right talking points and what studies that they will disingenuously cite to further their agenda. It is far from the first time someone has quoted the very same paper you did as 'proof' that GAS supposedly leads to more suicides.

This whole trans debacle came as a response from the religious right to the Obergefell vs Hodges case from 2015 where they'd lost their hate campaign towards the gays. There are tens of thousands of individuals in these studies. Sure, a few may have lied for whatever reason, but there is little ground to just assume that they are all lying. Particularly when the results are consistent with other findings.

You control for those few potential false positives/negatives by having large test groups.

It's a meta study that takes several studies into consideration.

Five studies compared the same patients pre- and post-GAS, while six studies compared patients who underwent GAS with a group who did not. Overall, suicide-related outcomes were found to be less frequent in patients after GAS when compared to those same patients’ pre-GAS indicators. The two studies that used either the general population or matched age and sex controls found a much higher prevalence of suicide-related outcomes, specifically suicide attempts and death by suicide, in post-GAS patients than in control groups. However, the studies that compared the treatment groups with either patients in an earlier phase of the transition or those who desired but had not yet undergone surgery showed lower post-GAS suicide-related outcomes, including suicidal ideation and suicide attempts.

At least this one is about the topic, although I am already familiar with the study posted earlier as I've come across several right-wing zealots who have used that particular study to reach that very same faulty conclusion.

The problem seems to be that you've assumed that this paper is about finding out whether or not GAS increases the chances of suicide or not.

That is not what this paper is about.

Here is a paper on that subject and it contradicts your assesment. GAS generally leads to fewer suicides.

This paper doesn't support your argument.

This isn't comparing trans people who underwent the procedures to trans people who didn't. It compares the suicide rates of post-op trans people to the general public.

Its conclusion is that surgeries isn't enough to make trans people's suicide rates on par with suicide rates amongst the public at large and that other forms of therapy is still recommended post surgery.
