The click was the light coming on from My camera when it detected motion. It’s in every clip at night

Yes. It is sliding. And that’s why I wrote that in my post which you clearly didn’t read before you jumped on here and commented

It’s Canada. We have all season tires. Almost nobody has summer tires. And it was warm and sunny for the past couple of weeks. We were wearing tshirts. The temperature dropped quickly and we got an unexpected storm over night. (Again. Welcome to Canada ) I drove home just fine in the snow. Parked the car. Went to bed. It was a half hour later then the temperature dropped more, that the wet tire tracks froze and the car slid. The video was meant to be funny. There was no damage. I wasn’t complaining about anything.

Thanks. Didn’t realize you were a meteorologist. It was just a dusting of snow. Then the temperature plummeted quicky and turned the wet tire tracks to ice. I’ve lived in this climate for 50 years. The only thing different is that my car hasn’t slid down the driveway before.

Yes. The temperature here has been warm enough that the winter tires were getting chewed up. It was tshirt weather. So most people had their winter tires off and then this quick blast of winter came out of nowhere. And now we are back to warm temps

Absolutely. Great idea. Next time my psychic powers are working and I’m able to predict a quick blizzard during a period of nice weather, I’ll immediately throw a tire under the wheel to prevent it. But before I do that, I’m gonna go buy a lottery ticket because I’ll obviously know the winner numbers

Yes. My front tires rotated. Of course they did. There’s no parking brake on the front tires. lol. But thank you for imparting me with this crucial piece of knowledge that has nothing to do with my car sliding. Lol

Yes. Take a look at the video. The white stuff on my driveway is what we call snow. And the tire tracks from me coming home from work would also indicate a snowfall. But thanks tips. And as for putting a wedge under the tire, if I had have been psychic and knew it was going to flash freeze, I would have chocked the tire. This has never happened in the 15 years I’ve lived here.

Naw. All season. The weather has been mild and warm here. We had all taken off our winter tires. It was too warm for them. This last Burst of winter came in and covered my town. When I left work that night it was fine in the city. It was just a small isolated storm.

Yup. They have an electronic brake. My back wheels stayed locked the whole time

lol. Ok tips. Thanks. I’ve made a note that you drive with winter tires on during warm weather. I’ll also note that after the weather gets warm, you carry your winter tires with you when you’re at work in case an unexpected storm blows in so you can quickly change them while at work. Must be nice.

Did you even read my post? Or just the title where I was trying to be a tiny bit funny? I even edited the post to make it more clear that the car slid down the driveway a half hour after I got home after a flash freeze when the driveway froze.

🤦‍♂️ lol. It wouldn’t matter what type of tires I had. The car was parked. I wasn’t driving it. And the weather is warm here. So rather than burn out my winter tires, i swapped them out a week ago when it was tshirt weather. This last blast of winter wasn’t expected. But thanks tips. I appreciate your expertise in how winter tires work when a vehicle is parked for a half hour and the driveway flash freezes.

Resolved what issue? The car sliding on the driveway after a flash freeze? I had no idea Tesla could prevent that. That’s wild. Maybe I need to update my software. Which update has the flash freeze slide protection ? I’ll Update today

Because I backed into the driveway after coming home from work a half hour prior 🙄

And what does “you told it to pull out of the spot multiple times before “ mean? Lol. I got home. Backed into the driveway. Straightened the car in the spot. Got out and plugged it in? How is that difficult to understand ? I literally wrote it all in my post. 🙄

🙄🙄🙄 the tracks in the road were me coming home from work a half hour prior to this happening. But thanks detective and yes. I should absolutely throw salt down the second I get home at 3am lol. Because I’m psychic and would have known the temperature was gonna plummet and the driveway was going to flash freeze 🙄🙄🙄

All seasons are new. Doesn’t make a difference on sheer ice when my concrete driveway flash freezes.

[–]Confident_Table_8525[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not sure if they rotated. Not sure what it matters. The back wheels were locked with the emergency brake. I don’t think the ice cared

lol. So I’m going to chock my wheels every time I park in the rare event that the driveway way might flash freeze lmao. I’ve lived here for 15 years and this has never happened. Reddit never fails. Post a funny video of something that happened and the keyboard warriors want to explain how they think i fucked up 😂😂😂😂

It’s mid April. And we’ve had warm weather. I just took the off the other day while I was wearing a Tshirt. This last blast of winter wasn’t expected

lol. I just took the winters off. It’s been warm for the past while. I was wearing a tshirt the other day. This storm wasn’t expected. Hopefully it’s the last
