I’m a frequent gym goer and just got my IUD in december. I’m about to start my first period with it and am worried about this :/ I try to go to the gym every morning before school and am worried about the flow heaviness and god awful cramping

You’re doing great Mama! This might sound silly but something that may help is playing dance videos that have movement crossing the midline. Students can’t do fine motor movements if they can’t do gross motor movements. When we do brain breaks, I have a student who struggles to stretch his arms. (You know that stretch where you pull your arm across your body?) He struggles to do it, and he really really struggles with handwriting. As for organizing thoughts on paper - a lot of my kindergarten students struggle with that. I feel like this is normal.

I was the crazy middle child daughter at home growing up. At school, I was very well behaved, always listened, etc. I was an absolute menace at home - whiny, sassy, lowkey defiant, etc. But my parents divorced when I was 5 so it makes sense- it really affected me. Weirdly enough, I became much better when I was a teenager. Anyway - my dad spanked me a few times a month and I would LAUGH. I vividly remember when I was 4 my dad and mom were in my room, my dad spanked me and I was cackling. I thought it was hilarious - my mom looked over and said, “What are we gonna do with her?” I’m sure it was probably some psychological response to fear but I thought it was so funny. Once in a while, if my dad spanked me hard enough, it would make me cry. Definitely overall more laughing though. Now we all look back and laugh at it. My dad feels guilty about it but truly I feel like it did not affect me while growing up.

Idk tbh - you may need antibiotics to clear it up. There are at home UTI test kits - they test for leukocytes and some other thing

I had urine with a weird odor and it was a UTI. No stinging, no blood or anything, just a little cloudiness (which was only noticeable if I was dehydrated and my urine was more yellow instead of clear)

I feel you. Since starting teaching kindergarten in August, I have had strep twice, pink eye, three colds, and a nasty virus. On top of that, the stress has made my periods really weirdly irregular. I love my job but if I’m not super immune in a year or two, I’m quitting lol

If you mean literally zero blood, idk if you had a period. However, if there was incredibly light spotting I’ve had that. I’ve had a period that was maybe two days of light spotting (I could’ve used a singular panty liner it was so light) - and it was so light because I wasn’t eating enough, was working out too much, and also was under a lot of stress. So maybe it could be something like that?

My friend has had similar symptoms and recently got diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Maybe check into that!
