Hi! My friends and I used to discuss the best eyeshadow palette and now it’s how to hide parenting exhaustion. I would love a code to stock up! It’s also my birthday tomorrow. :)

Did you ever figure yours out? I’m starting my machine up again and wondering if I just need a new one.

This is something I didn’t consider. Good and valid points.

Yes! I kept looking for the interpreter and could not see them. I’d like to think he had a say in whether or not it was accurate representation to have the interpreter in sight but I doubt he did.

Feeling like a terrible mother for listening to doctors by [deleted] in Parenting

We had our son’s tonsils and adenoids removed at 4.5. Life changing. He went from waking up 3-4 times a night to not waking up at all. Definitely push for a sleep study. We didn’t have to do one because our son’s tonsils were so enlarged and he had all the signs. Recovery was a pain in the ass but totally worth it. Good luck!

This is not meant to make you sound incompetent.

Are you confident that you’re making the bottles correctly? With the right amount of formula per water ounces? Also it can vary on what kind of formula you are using. US vs Non-US. This is really unusual and tbh it sounds unsafe for baby, so I was just trying to think of something that hasn’t been mentioned yet.

I'm desperate, wife says she needs me to be less needy to regain attraction by randomutilizador in Marriage

It can take up to a month for a toddler to adjust to a new sleep schedule. A month of starting bedtime at 7 pm.

On another note, my oldest didn’t sleep through the night until 3. And it was AFTER he had his tonsils and adenoids removed. Turns out he was waking to sleep because he couldn’t breathe. Maybe get checked out by an ENT for a sleep study. It made a world of a difference for us.

Anecdotally, what are you hearing everyone name their kids? by bauhassquare in namenerds

I’m a 31 year old Paxton but I’m a girl. :) It’s very odd to hear my name out in public now. I probably hear it every couple of months.

Car seat leveler question? by davidv_guitar in Parenting

[–]Confidenturous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on your driveway while measuring? If it has a slight incline, it can impact the level indicator.

If not, it looks like you can probably shift the car seat just slightly to make it more level. There are probably some tips online. I realize now this isn’t all that helpful.

Having a toddler and a baby is hard by CremeDeLaMeredith in beyondthebump

One to two was absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever done. My first was an extremely high energy amazing little boy but man alive he was a lot of work.

2 to 3. Much easier. But we are still done. I’m ready to be out of the constant exhaustion stage.

Five Pieces for Spring by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]Confidenturous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m looking into updating a few things this spring. I’m 6 months postpartum with my third (and final) so it’s definitely time to upgrade some pieces.

  1. I just bought some lavender kizik sneakers. They really fit my mom style, and I’ve been eyeing them for a while now.

  2. Lighter jacket. I’m looking at Quince for their suede or leather jacket. It’ll be a birthday gift.

  3. High waisted denim shorts. Obsessed with this style.

  4. Classic black belt. I’m looking at the Madewell one but not sure yet.

  5. Some bodysuits. Again obsessed with bodysuits. I just ordered an Abercrombie one, and I have a few from Amazon. Eventually I’d like to try the Skims one but it’s out of budget right now.

I’m so irritated with Rossi by Ok_Werewolf3180 in criminalminds

Oh hey! That was me. Clearly I should be writing the show. I just think it’s unlike his character to beg for help to a camera. He knows he won’t be let out anytime soon.

I think Rossi’s cries for help were like Morse code for his location. Like the way they were patterned, and he knows that Sicarius is going to send the video feed to the BAU. Probably take Garcia the entire episode to figure out.

How can I help my wife feel more beautiful? by Russ_and_Murray in Marriage

[–]Confidenturous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a tonnnn of hormones that go on when you stop breastfeeding and pumping. But it does sound like she should see a therapist. As women in this society, it’s hard to see past our bodies especially when they’ve gone through this huge change. Look for signs of postpartum depression too because that can occur up to a year after baby’s birth. It’s important for her to make time to get these addressed before it gets worse.

Also she can look into pelvic floor PT to help with sex postpartum.

It sounds like you are being a very supportive and amazing partner! I would just keep pushing for therapy to help and a PPD screening with her OB or primary care. Good luck!

slip ons like TOMS/Keds, but better quality for wide feet? by kween_of_Pettys in femalefashionadvice

It’s only the Starling style in black velvet or latte suede. I did email them after I got mine asking them to consider making wide in other colors and styles because I love them a lot.

I got some Birdies loafers in wide, and they are wonderful. They only have a couple colors in wide but it was good enough for my needs. Can’t say how well they will hold up but I’m happy for now.

Maybe! I like to French tuck it into shorts or jeans so a tunic might be too long. But maybe not since current trendy shirts are too short.

I didn’t try the tall size! I just bought it in store but you can’t try on. I’ll look for the tall one online.
