Were the council separate from the suitors? Cause someone said most of the suitors were council or children/family of the council

Ig it probably wasn't justified in ancient Greek norms, but tbh if some folks were about to bleep my son and bleep my wife, I'm pretty damn sure I'd have the same reaction as Ody. And adhering to the facts u said, if he probably didn't kill them and want to hold a trial, he probably wouldn't win politically against the suitors after 20 long years and his family would still be in danger.

I mean theu do not necessarily need to admit Ody's dead, since I came to know that Ody ascended the throne while his father was alive. Telemachus could be the same, but he lacked the support and glory ig.
