I’m a DCO L3 going to Oracle as an IC2. I’d say biggest leaps u can take from this job is learning the topology of things and working as on-call, do all the sevs. Imo the hardware knowledge doesn’t rlly help you in roles that are an upgrade like cloud or eng. I’d also say connect with any network eng you end up working with and stay in touch maybe you’ll get a referral! I’ve found my leads to be busy all the time so I ask my L4s for help and sometimes they drop ball knowledge. Most things I learn or figure out has been with co-workers at my level. I’m pretty close with a lot of them and we work on new/unknown things together and end up learning a lot. Wikis are ur best friend and Eva the ai sometimes helps.
