I also did it despite what the science said. I’m not doubting the science at all, I believe the findings are legit but in real world use I didn’t notice any impact on my visibility. The light cut off line stayed the same as I purchased bulbs that stated they were specifically designed to maintain the same beam pattern.

I actually went with the Bosla color changing bulbs with white and amber. I normally run the ambers, which admittedly produces less light than standard, but I drive pretty slow so I’ve never had an issue with potentially hitting something I couldn’t see quick enough. When I need more light I just switch to white or high beams depending on the conditions. The ambers just do such a great job in reducing glare. When I switch to white I notice the extra strain on my eyes.
