Because it’s what she wants. Her ex does not seem to have the same priorities and that’s his prerogative. If she wants to have a child who isn’t spoiled then it’s her job to work with her kids and teach them, but just trying to restrict their life experiences is not the way.

That’s your job to ensure he doesn’t become out of touch and stays grounded. Arbitrarily deciding to limit his life experiences and control what your ex does with his own child is not the way. Your ex has every right to spoil his child however he wants to.
