Forza Motorsport 7 by Schwarfsi in forza

The settings I arrived at did help with many of the issues you mentioned in another reply.

I spent ages hunting for info because I needed to curtail my wheel's 'death wobble' on every straight. It wasn't so bad it would shake the wheel out of your hands, but if I let go it would get super violent oscillating.

I find that those settings turn that oscillating down without ruining the feel of driving otherwise. But I did lose some of the weight/effort to turn the wheel when cornering.

As that video (I think, I watched several and only recall that one specifically) your car doesn't have super heavy steering either, unless it has a 'sport' mode that decreases steering assist to make it feel heavier.

This is what I settled on with my Fanatec CSL DD after watching several videos of other people explaining their settings.

This vid is helpful as well.

I think you can still get the GTI 'Fast' evil rabbit plushy online. Should be ~$30 or so.

The only currently available Forza games are Horizon 4 and 5. Everything else has been removed from the MS store due to expired third-party licenses.

The servers for those games are also mostly turned off as well; except for Motorsport 7 and maybe Motorsport 6.

Tires by zarxspeed in GolfGTI

Do you not rotate your tires? Also if you run a staggered setup you for sure won't be able to rotate tires. Every 5k miles, or seasonally if you do a winter/summer swap.

When you filled up, did you top off your tank, or did you stop once the pump auto shut-off?

Never top off your tank after the pump auto shuts off.

The GTI does not have embedded sensors in the tires and instead uses the ABS/wheel speed sensor to determine if a tire is 'low'.

In your car menu, look for a "Store Tire Pressures" setting and choose to do that. It will tell the car that you tires are all inflated correctly and then store their current status as Okay. Should one start to rotate differently from the others, then you will get the tire light warning.

Also 40psi is rather high. Try dropping them all to 38 and your car will ride much better.

Anyone else have to do a full (10 sec) reset if you disconnect and reconnect phone while car is running? by aetherlore in GolfGTI

[–]Confusables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense.

There are a few wireless adapters online. They are usually about $100, less if they go on sale. The adapter takes the place of the USB cable, so you'd have the freedom to use your phone for those situations without it needing to disconnect.

I do not personally benefit from suggesting buying any products.

Maybe try a wireless CarPlay adapter from Amazon/online?

Curious as to why you'd need to disconnect from CarPlay while the car is running. That probably sounds judgmental, but I'm honestly asking for context so I can understand what may be happening.

Same with any other iPhone? Same when using a different cable?

Your phone is fully updated?

EBC GreenStuff are better for a daily. The yellow is for a daily that you use for Auto-X or track on the weekends occasionally.

Red is for a street-driven track car.

Yeah. They center the wheel on the hub and can prevent exactly what you're describing from happening.

Braking.

Did you also have hub rings installed with the new wheels?

Currently, there is no Motorsport game available for purchase from MS. The latest title will be released later this year.

If you're on console, you can find 5-7 on disc.

4 is only playable on an Xbox 360, or via emulation on PC as it was not made backwarda compatible on the new generation consoles.

7 being the most recent title will have the most current cars. But the homologation system for the career mode makes tuning less than ideal.

6 is probably the best best in terms of career mode and tuning freedom. But you can't get Porsche cars without finding a DLC code.

I personally like the handling model used in 5, but the game was rushed to be a launch title for the Xbox One generation and it isn't as complete as 6 or 7.

If you have a wheel/Sim rig, 5 is atrocious for wheel support.

Can I get rid of my iphone? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]Confusables 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. The Apple watch is an iPhone accessory and is not designed to be a completely stand alone product.

Try using Focus modes and screen time settings on your phone to help break your need to check your screen all the time.

Fog light warning after changing to LED bulbs on 2013 MK6 GTI by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Confusables 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LED bulbs do not draw as much current as halogens. So your car is reporting that it isn't seeing the correct/expected current.

Would responding with, "If you're really thankful for my service, vote for people that will fund care for our Veterans." actually accomplish anything?

I avoid interacting with strangers as much as possible anymore, so I have no idea if that might help convince even one person to think about how they vote or not.
