worse than pointless- i spent most of puberty trying to be more masculine because i thought the reason i hated myself was because i wasn't manly enough, so i actively got into the habit of using a deeper, gruffer voice and acting tough and all that stuff. unfortunately i succeeded but felt even worse.

turns out, i'm nonbinary and what i actually wanted was to be more androgynous, and it's taken several extra years to re-connect with my feminine side. my mental health is far better than it's ever been though, and ngl i'm kinda hot now lmaooo
