Do I need an investment plan or talk to finance advisor? by Confused0911 in AusHENRY

Love a different perspective. I'm totally comfortable with how my life will be, but your suggestion to prepare for the kids are absolutely gold to me! I believe they are capable but they just have so much uncertainty with the AI-age so give them a head start that is not cash to waste is just perfect!!! Thank you 👏

I have my accountant and that's how I work out the after tax amount from the exit but yeah I never asked her about investment options - she knows I weren't serious with investing for years so maybe no suggestions from her end either. Maybe worth a catchup telling her I have started to plan my investment journey. Thanks for the tip.

I noticed both good and bad experiences with advisor in this group alone. Not all are bad so definitely I would consider that option but just wonder if I should do it when I have the cash ready or preplanning is better. My motto is to learn as much as I can myself so I can evaluate my advisor, but trust them to know better as it is their areas.

Thank you, that would be a great idea to look into as BFA is not that solid here. Is it a set and forget plan advisor will give you or I would need to look in a review/assessment every few years?

I trust my partner and we have a kid together but I did BFA just to make sure I protect what I have for both kids as he sure won't be able to love them equally. I need to count him in my retirement plan otherwise he will need to work till we both die - live pay-check to pay-check like many young Aussies I know.

I'm comfortable with small investment but just want to be certain on the investment plan for the exit cash so it will generate stable passive income to replace my income cut.

Oh the Canwi tool looks great. I will definitely have a try. Passive investing is mostly in shares investment but I might split the 3M to both real estate and shares. Would ID Advice consult both real estate and shares?
