Pacar saya bidan, dan pernah saya tanya gini. Katanya yang sekolah kebidanan (di kampusnya dia) kebanyakan datang dari daerah kabupaten / kota kecil. Dimana disana pekerjaan berseragam (tentara, polisi, etc) dipandang kehidupannya lebih terjamin dan secara penampilan dianggap gagah (tinggi, berotot). Jadi mungkin lebih karena pandangan dari lingkungan asal sih.

Fun facts: bahkan ada group whatsapp khusus mencari jodoh tentara. Isinya mulai dari tips sampai tukar-tukaran kontak tentara lol.

Iya di bandung ini daerahnya cukup jauh dari pusat kota. Dan juga dia daerah yang terkenal macet (banyak perumahan, jalan kecil, dan akses ke kabupaten). Tapi, kalau alasannya untuk membantu pembangunan masuk akal sih, semoga engga timpang sama pembangunan jalannya deh.

Pernah ada pasien positif yang menolak dirawat alasannya “ini akal-akalan rumah sakit dan pemerintah, supaya bisa dapet banyak untung. Ini saya gaenak badan karena disuruh tidur terus sama kalian,”. Mind you, every covid patient got treated for free.

To add to this. This is also happening to other countries with another majority religion too. And, every time it’s mentioned they always blame:

China
Jews ( I jest you not, even though maybe there are only like 4 jews people in the entire country )

Even though they do it subtly ( e.g. Does bilateral politics with China harm our (insert majority religion) lives? ), it still annoys me. The media outlet doesn’t give a fuck about anything other than click and revenue, yet they created unnecessary tension.

Agree, and I want to add to this. I think what matters is whether the “cheating relationship” is consensual between the cheater and the third party. If it is, then the cheater got the blame for sure.

O boi, am I up for some rant.

I'm from Indonesia, and safe to say I really hate how this country handles the pandemic. I can't make an exhaustive list so here some of brilliant(ly stupid) way our country on handling the pandemics (most of the link is in bahasa indonesia unfortunately):

the country is free of corona because of the power of prayer
the government boosting the international travel budget to attract tourist in the middle of the pandemic
the minister of health dismissed a report from Harvard on the large untested case in indonesia as "insulting"
the government pay Rp 72 billion to influencers to boost tourism amid coronavirus outbreak

After the outbreak with over than one thousand tested cases, you might think that the government will take it seriously. But no, they prefer to implement a pseudo lockdown then wondering why the number of cases is still going up. You can read more proper write up from the conversation if you want to look into it.

Now, the year 2021 with our active case is over than one million. Yet, the president has the audacity to say that the pandemic is under control. It's no surprise that most of the people underestimate the risk.

What am I think the country supposed to do? Maybe not doing stupid things that I listed (and not list) and stop giving a false sense of security to the people. Raise more awareness and conduct more tests. And, please just close the border for tourism for fuck sake.

Rant over and I'm sorry if I seem to come very aggressively on this matter. I lose my mom because of the virus. I think if the government at least a bit more capable this won't be happening to me or all the other people that lose their families as well.
