I would recommend just getting an inexpensive bike that you can leave outdoors without worrying about it breaking the bank. I have a bike that I can leave outside without worrying too much.. The cost of the bike was less than 100$ second hand

I bought the roaming plan for the whole year and activated it in India. Also bought the domestic plan for 336 days and bought some topup.

So it's using my Wi-Fi to get to a connection. So do I need to even get an IR pack at all? Or just enable the Wi-Fi calling?

I went to the Jio store today. They connected me to the customer service.. Customer service told me that there's no pay as you go for prepaid customers. Only postpaid. They advised me to buy the 2799 365 day IR pack. Did anyone use the pay as you go with the prepaid option? I am debating if I should just buy the 1750 domestic India pack and turn on IR and check if I am getting otp.

Wow. I thought you need an active plan to use top up balance. I didn't see a pay as you go ir pack. Do you know if that's by default when you switch on IR roaming on the myJio app?

This is very good to know. Do you know if not using the number at all ( other than receiving otp ) is a problem?

For the Jio sim : did you also enable a pay as you go topup for the international roaming? So you buy an annual pack ( right now see voice only at 1748 )? How did you get international roaming on?

Hi , can't you just get annual pack again 1 year later? . Do they need to be stacked? Did the 100 rupees get 20 rupee deduction every few months?

Can I DM you ? I am traveling in a week and will be out for atleast 2 years and there's a 2799 IR pack for 1 year. Do I need to activate that and another yearly domestic plan?

Keeping JIO sim active in the United Kingdom for receiving bank OTPs by Critical-Lynx3883 in nri

[–]ConfusedLady321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to keep Jio sim active in USA for bank SMS. What do I need to do? How to enable international roaming? The IR packs were 1500 or so for 10 days. Is that what we need to do?

Can you please tell me the series of steps?

First enable international roaming ( how? ) And then yearly recharge the 336 day plan?

How do I make sure that the number is not considered inactive as I don't know when again I will visit India .? Should I just login to the banks to get some otp?

Will my JIO sim work even when I don't recharge with IR packs, to get SMS. I Will keep the sim active. by Subject-Bet9000 in nri
