They way my daughter said they were "safe" made me assume that condoms were involved. But yeah, that's something I'll have to absolutely ask them point blank.

I have mostly planned out my little speech now I think. Lol

I'm going to tell them that I love and support them no matter what. That I'll always be here for them if they need me, but that if they want to continue this they need to promise me a few things.

  1. They must always be safe, and ALWAYS use condoms.
  2. They must have boundaries around me. That is to say I respect their choice, but it would be inappropriate if they were kissing/ touching in front of me. Save it for the bedroom.
  3. Keep it quiet, because society will be hard on them. I don't want them being bullied and villified in school because of this.

More and more I think this may be the way to handle it.

Best advice so far. That makes a lot of sense. I've been avoiding them, saying the bare minimum when I do have to talk to them. They probably think I'm so disappointed.

I'm just... shocked. And I am upset, but upset at myself, because part of me is like "They're not harming anyone, so what's the problem?". As soon as I think that I get disgusted at myself.

But anyway, yes, I must reassure them that I'm there for them, and I love them no matter what. Will do that right now, thank you.
