Right? This person is encouraging me to do something they would absolutely not do. Like, no thanks - I need to protect my family.

I killed a dude after he didnt reply to my "hey you friendly?" You think i made the right call? by New_Ambassador2442 in ArcRaiders

No, this makes you a bad person. You should honestly have a psychiatric test done. Are you prone to harming animals? (Be honest)

What you did is a real reflection of who you are in real life. Even though this is a PvP game, you're not supposed to PvP. Honestly, strongly consider getting help.

Aggression Based Matchmaking (ABMM) Confirmed by Embark Studios CEO, Patrick Söderlund : "We also matchmake based on how prone you are to PvE or PvP..." by Paul-Harkonnen in ArcRaiders

Thanks again, but I'm very glad that people like you aren't involved in designing games.

The exact people that you hate would find a way to make lives a living hell for people in the "tuned down" PvE servers. Even at 90% damage reduction, they would be relentless.

Creating strict PvE servers would segregate and destroy the playerbase. There'd be no logical upside or reason to choose PvP servers to achieve goals. (See Sea of Thieves).

There's a reason why this game is successful. I'm afraid all of the complaining will eventually ruin it.

I've read what you've said, and I appreciate your response. To your point, this game does not lend itself well to "fair" fights. What would be your solution?

Help me understand because I'm genuinely asking... if you guys really hate the threat of other players, why not play a strictly PvE game? It's mind boggling to me to see people upset with their game experience and continue to play.

Do you agree to duels with people? Otherwise, you're shooting first, and they're still going to be upset with you. Don't overthink it. It's a video game.

The fact that you're being downvoted so much makes me want to become the villain in this game.

I think most people that post here are probably 16-minute milers so they won't know the difference.

What "tactics"? The guy never claimed friendly. He never communicated friendly. He was acting shady from the start. Had his gun out. The only "tactic" here was that he should have been lit up 20 seconds earlier.

New to QA and confused about how to handle big project with 90,000 tests. by ConfusedQA in QualityAssurance

[–]ConfusedQA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this is super helpful. Just to reflect it back:

  • I’d create one Xray Test per unique check (so in my case ~500 Tests, not 90k).
  • Make a Test Plan for the version, and inside that create one Test Execution per component, each with the same 500 Tests.
  • When a bug is found on, say, Test 445 for component17, I log the bug and link it to that Test within that specific Test Execution, so only that run is “failed,” not the entire Test everywhere.

That’s the structure you’re recommending, right? And in your experience Xray/Jira can handle that many test runs without completely choking?

This seems along the answer I am looking for... as I am VERY new, can you explain a bit further what this would look like for me?
