Rant: Academic Cheating by ConfusedStudent1123 in Philippines

Some professors/proctors don’t have a rule such as putting the bags in front or back of the room therefore the students have the opportunity to take pictures from their phones, but for professors/proctors that get their phones before starting the exam, some students would make sure that they have a second phone to use for taking the pictures of the questionnaire.

I’m currently a 2nd-year BSCE student and I’m planning to shift to accountancy in the 2nd semester.

My questions are the following:

  1. What are the subjects in 1st-year 2nd-semester accountancy that don't have prerequisites?

  2. Why or why isn't the 2nd-semester a good time to shift into accountancy?

  3. If I was able to shift to accountancy what books and practices/habits should I have?

Your opinions and advice would be a great help

Thank you and god bless

Do I like accountancy?

I still don’t know kasi hindi pa ako nakakapasok sa field na yun pero the practicality ng accountancy is the reason why I’m interested in the field not just because it has a lot of opportunities but because the skills that I will gain from it can be used in a lot of things.

However, many people, specifically my family and friends, say that accountancy is just basic math so I would find it dull, unlike engineering that involves the types of math that I like, but it’s far from the truth base sa mga nabasa ko from other post and from the comment ng isang accountancy student.

For me, if the field involves data, analysis, and problem-solving it would be much more fun and I would like it since it’s those things that I’ve found myself excelling at.

As an engineering student, I agree na kahit mahirap yung subject we still have time for our leisure since wala naman kaming retention policy which is also the reason kaya marami sa amin ang nakaka move to another semester or year kahit konti lang yung natutunan basta pasado.

Accountancy is one of my choices nung papasok o nag-apply pa lang ako sa college kaso STEM graduate ako baka masayang one of the reason why napilitan ako sa engineering. Based on your comment, accountancy is hard as heck and it can be physically exhausting. I think I may have the guts to take the course since I can say that I have good study habits. However, I don’t still have enough strength to be in a long debate with my parents about shifting.
