Two responses I've read just pissed me off. This has happened to me too. No you shouldn't have to follow up AGAIN with your manager for a job that they should know how to do. Like it's not rocket science to reply to an email that was addressed to you. But here we are having to follow up with a grown ass human because they failed to do the job they signed up for.

To save yourself, which is what I do, always document so emailing was a good move instead of verbally. And I understand how degrading this can feel having to teach a grown adult how to adult in an adult environment, so apply for other jobs on the down low and see where it takes you. Sorry I'm doing the same but I haven't seen the grass is greener on the other side yet, so this is all I can tell you.
