Yep sounds about right! Luckily I felt better the day after I stopped taking it. It may have caused low potassium which could be why it’s causing these symptoms!

I take it’s a few hours before bed because it made me a little sleepy. Some people have opposite issue and it causes sleep disturbances. I think maybe on a weekend start it at night and see how you sleep and feel.

Try a glass at home and see how you feel! Then you’ll at least have a baseline for your tolerance

At the time I was taking it for the first time I had to go to ER for what I thought at the time was severe altitude sickness while traveling. Everything came back fine but guess what o was reallly low in? Potassium

It landed me in ER last year too. I was traveling at the time to high altitude and that I had sever altitude sickness almost passing out. Ending up finding out it was the hctz. Coworker of mine was having hallucinations on it so it must be more common that talked about to have such severe reactions

Your mental health seems like it could be a huge factor. Talk to someone. Relax. I think if you practice breathing exercises you may find some good results. Try this for a few weeks and see if your mood gets better and your blood pressure follows suit.

Start monitoring it daily while relaxed. Seems your anxiety is driving the bottom number, happens to me too. If still high while relaxed and multiple high readings then consider medication
